Get The Vibe: Corey From Empire Records

If you ever read the actual text in my posts you will know that I draw a lot of my inspiration from movies and characters that align with my current mood. You also will know that my hope is to push other people to get creative and expressive. In saying this I do not mean you necessarily need to be inspired by ME. But if I can help in getting people inspired or offer outlets through which to get inspired, then that is enough for me.

Remember when your teachers would tell you do to something and you would start your sentence with “I can’t” and they would cut you off and tell you they don’t want to hear you say “I can’t” and you just wanted to punch them? Well I’m starting to see things from the teachers’ perspective. When someone is going through my closet and pulls out something they like and I offer it to them to borrow and they say “I can’t pull that off, you can” I just want to shake them. You can in fact pull off whatever you want (as long as it flatters your figure). Pulling something off has nothing to do with looks, so me being able to “pull something off” really just means that I am confident enough to wear it without caring whether or not other people like it.

SO to help push you to try the looks you’ve always wanted, I’ve decided to begin a series on my blog called “Get The Vibe” which will feature an iconic (or not so iconic) outfit, pieces you can get to achieve the same look, and a track to get you in the mood and mindset to actually wear it.
