When I get dressed I typically start with one item that I am in the mood to wear and I build my outfit around it. Sometimes that item is socks. On this particular day it was an incredible thick wooly jacket. This jacket was my first purchase from Bib and Tuck and I love it. You may not be able to tell from the photos but it is actually knitted wool and about two inches thick with big wooden buttons… sometimes it’s the little things that get me (I love the wooden buttons).
This jacket can go a few different ways so I paired it with a very simple outfit to let it speak for itself. I think it’s a mix between 60’s and western so I paired it with booties that are slightly cowboy-esque without getting down with a cowgirl look. The white long sleeved shirt I have on is sort of a high-low top. It is a normal length in the front and back and really long on the sides. I decided to do a center tuck to make it a little less drapey and to show of my high-waisted jeans. Like the white jeans in my rainy day post, this fine piece of denim also has the same x-fit stretch in them so they keep their snug fit all day but are still comfortable enough to be worn as Sunday pants. I cuffed the bottoms for an extra little contrast.
If you were wondering, the billboard I am standing on is for the movie Ender’s Game. My boyfriend and I had to sneak past a fence and climb a hill (in my heels) to get these photos so I hope you like them.
