I got these white booties years ago and I always want to wear them but 99% of the time I put them on I take them right off. My friend saw them in my closet last night and looked at me with the most puzzled expression and asked, “what are those?” I don’t know what it is, I just think they’re so practical. I’m serious. They’re patent leather so they are water proof, they’re comfortable and they have a small hidden wedge in them. I was stomping through puddles as if they were Sorel snow boots. Anyway, they are difficult to pair because they look like white go-go boots. So I decided to downplay them by pairing them with a casual outfit. It’s a great way to make an item go from dressy to more of an off-duty model type look.
A little extra styling idea to try: if your outfit feels monotone… instead of adding a pop of color, try a pop of plaid. It will add a little edge to the look.
