I’d been seeing a ton of commercials for Fabletics and I finally caved and decided to try it out. Fabletics is a workout line created by Kate Hudson. The whole concept is you get a full outfit for $50-$70. You can sign up to be a VIP member which means that you get your first outfit for around $25 and then you get a new outfit sent to you for $50 each month. When the outfit comes you can keep it or return it for an outfit credit. The first set I selected was the Boca Chita Keys outfit which consisted of a long sports bra, mesh top and cropped pants.
Chicago is a city where people wear workout clothes all the time. It’s almost like Lululemon is the official dress code of the city. I love me some Lululemon pants, don’t get me wrong. But I still can’t justify dressing like I just came from the gym 24/7. This outfit made me feel better about wearing workout clothes in public. I was going paddle boarding and it wasn’t quite warm enough for a bathing suit and I felt cool enough in it that I was fine having dinner out at a casual restaurant outside
Aside from the look, I do like the quality of the items. The pants are nice and thick so they hold you in, although I didn’t find the grey color to be all that flattering. While I would order another outfit from the site, I will most likely pass on receiving a new outfit each month.
If you haven’t seen it already, I recently started a fitness blog called sweatyreviews.com with two friends… you can check out a more in-depth review of Fabletics here!
