This weekend I attended an outdoor wedding. It was beautiful and such a great time. The only issue came BEFORE the wedding even happened. The invitation alluded to wearing comfortable clothing and that it would be a casual wedding. So what does one wear to a casual wedding? Women know they have an array of dresses. For men it’s a bit trickier.
So, first things first, ditch the suit. I would still go with a blazer for appearances but instead of dress pants, opt for something a little more laid back like a colored chino. Linen is always great for warm weather because it is lightweight and breathable. And if you know ahead of time what your date will be wearing, throwing in a pocket square that coordinates with her dress is a nice little added touch.
So this is how I styled my date (and also what I wore) :
