While getting dressed for a casual holiday party (the first of 3 that day) I had two goals in mind. To be comfortable and chic at the same time. Black is always the perfect canvas for all things chic and a turtle neck sweater- sorry the right turtle neck sweater is usually a second runner up.
This sleeveless turtle neck sweater has been my go-to all season when I know I will be in any sort of environment where (real) adults or co-workers will be. So I paired my most professional looking tank top with a pair of black leggings (did I mention the second party involved bowling?) with zipper detailing on the back. In my opinion, leggings are acceptable as pants as long as your top is a little loose fitting and your butt is covered. They should also be quality leggings because the fabric will look nicer.
To keep my look from being all too dark I added these pony hair shoes with a hidden wedge and the leopard jacket. Mixing patterns can make all the difference between cute and eye-catching.
